Mission Statement

The purpose of this website is to offer a general introduction to the Orthodox Christian Church in a way that emphasizes the Church’s Universality… the richness of cultural diversity which finds spiritual unity in the same Universal Faith.

In much of the world today, Orthodox Christianity is mistakenly assumed to be a culturally exclusive religion (only for people of certain ethnicities). It is true that certain cultures are more historically grounded in Orthodoxy than others. However, the Church, as the Body of Christ, remembers the Savior’s words:

“Go and make disciples out of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19

“People will come from east & west & north & south, and take their places at the feast in the Kingdom of God.” Luke 13:29

On the day of Pentecost these words of the Savior began to be made manifest:

“All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking in his own language. Utterly amazed… they exclaimed “We all hear them declaring the wonders of God in each of our own tongues!” Acts 2:4-11

Since Pentecost, the Church has continued its God-given task of Universal Mission, going to the far ends of the world to proclaim the Gospel of Christ, inviting all peoples, all nations, all cultures to come and be received into the Body of Christ: His One Holy Orthodox Church.

It is the hope and prayer of everyone involved with the production of this website that all people who sincerely seek the Truth will find Christ's One and Holy True Living Church: the Home of the One and True Living Faith.

Every day the world is ever-more-rapidly falling deeper into utter and complete godless-ness, abandoning all faith save belief in the evolutionary mindset that mankind is always becoming better as we continually ascend the ladder of knowledge. Humanity, as a whole, has become completely absorbed into the Luciferic notion that we will “ascend above the tops of the clouds,” making ourselves “like the Most High” (Isaiah 14:14); but the sad truth is that we, in our pride, are actually bringing ourselves “down to the grave, to the depths of the pit.” (Isaiah 14:15)

How are people today so easily abandoning the quest for a true relationship with the True God? Perhaps one of the most tangible reasons is related to the technological achievements of the 19-21st centuries, which have allowed mankind to physically dominate the world with heretofore unknown power. We have isolated ourselves from the natural elements, surrounded ourselves with environments that are all but completely synthetic and man-made… thus making it not only extremely easy, but even “natural” to accept the unnatural view of mankind as the one and only domineering “god” of the known universe.

The specific area of human life which has been most affected by modern technology is COMMUNICATION… because technological progress has tremendously increased the speed of:
-transport of goods
-travel of people
-and (most especially) transfer of information

Now that opportunities abound to visit or learn about any location/culture on earth, the secular world has developed a new sense of “global awareness” unknown since the Tower of Babel.

We as Orthodox Christians know that on the day of Pentecost the curse of the separation of cultures/races/ethnicities at the Tower of Babel was conquered through the descent of the Holy Spirit as all the tongues of mankind proclaimed together in unison the Gospel of the Incarnate, Crucified, and Risen Jesus Christ.

We Orthodox also know that the antichrist will indeed one day come, and that at first he will not seem to openly oppose Christ (at least not to the undiscerning eye), but rather impersonate Christ.

At Pentecost, the authentic/true cure for mankind’s separation and isolation from both God and himself was made manifest: all humanity glorifying the True Jesus Christ, Son of God the Father, glorified together with the Holy Spirit... the Trinity: One in Essence and Undivided. Therefore, Satan, the father of lies and deception, will obviously make every effort to mimic this unification of all humanity as the age of the antichrist begins to manifest.

Once Satan drives out belief in God/Creator from the human soul, there is no longer anything to unite humanity together but humanity itself… and this is exactly what we are seeing today: the age of Humanism... which is in complete opposition to God-Man-ism/Christianity.

On one hand, it is wonderful that some countries in the West over the last 50 years have seen a decrease in the discrimination and persecution of people based on class/race/gender. However, on the other hand, it is also a great tragedy that these causes which began on very moral and ethic grounds have “evolved” into the justification of a new humanity where everyone is entitled to live their own life however they see fit (and the extremes this mindset carries out have become absolutely ludicrous)… and unless people break the secular law (which is becoming less and less reliable as a true standard for morality and ethics) you would be declared guilty of terrorism against humanity to try and tell them otherwise.

The borders of personal freedom have spilled over from politics into the basis of perception of reality itself. You now have the freedom to make your own god (which will obviously/inevitably be YOU). Its no surprise that Buddhism/Hinduism (and all other “spiritual” groups influenced by them) are the most socially accepted religions in secular culture, because they proclaim the inherent divine-ness/buddha-ness/krishna-ness, etc. of mankind. They proclaim: “We don’t need the redemptive grace of God, because we just inherently are god/divinity/buddha/krishna, etc.”

Especially in the last few decades we have seen what catastrophic results have developed from the evolved version of “gender liberation”: the complete distortion of sexuality and gender identification… literally driving headlong against the very grain of everything natural: pushing/tearing/cutting ahead in the name of humanity, in the name of our triumph over every natural barrier.

Now that our global society has begun to use humanity as the standard by which to measure the entire cosmos, it is no surprise that religion has come to be viewed as nothing more than cultural nostalgia.

The terrorist attacks in the U.S. on September 11, 2001 only fanned the flame and fueled the mindset which had already been widely developing there since the 1960s… which is: “religion” only divides mankind and causes war… but “real spirituality” includes everyone… all people… all HUMANS… because we are “inherently divine,” and we need nothing outside of ourselves to embrace this “divinity.” This is the essence of pure humanism.

The purpose of this website is to help show the world the Universal Voice of Orthodox Christianity… to break through the walls of assumption that all religions are (at best) just “cultural expressions of one, true, common spirituality of all people”…or (the more popular view) “all religion is cultural nostalgia.”

The Orthodox Church of Jesus Christ is present throughout every inhabitable continent. By the grace of God, I have gathered together Orthodox icons and chant from over 70 cultures around the world.

At this point, the main thing I need help with is:

Finding information to go with each cultural section of the Orthodox World map… basically: a history of Orthodoxy in the given culture and (if possible) at least one web-link from/about that jurisdiction. The goal here is to give the viewer an opportunity to not only experience Orthodox worship from various cultures via icons and chant, but also to have the option to read further about the historical context of Orthodoxy in each given culture.

I believe that showing the world the Universality of the Orthodox Church of Jesus Christ is the most powerful weapon we have in the oncoming age of antichrist.

To anyone who can contribute to this: please help!

+Lord have mercy on us all

“The day and hour of Christ’s return we do not know; the main priority is spiritual preparation. However…
Our times are so filled with what could be called ‘apocalyptic’ events that we should be very aware of them. Our Lord says that, although we do not know the day and the hour, we should take example from the fig tree, which when its leaves become green we know that summer is near. Likewise, when all these things begin to happen – when it becomes possible for there to be one world government, when the Gospel is being preached to all peoples, when so many spiritual currents are coming into being which are obviously deceptive – they are clearly signs that something momentous is about to happen, and are very likely bound up with the end of the world.”
